Since 2012, for 10 years worked at the Moscow Regional Research Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the department of operative gynecology. In 2016 finished his PhD work on topic "Prophylactic tubectomy during laparoscopic hysterectomy".
In addition to surgical activities, Alexey Koval was deeply involved in the education process during seminars for advanced training of doctors. Since 2015, he has trained more than 500 doctors.
Scientific interests: female infertility; benign uterine and adnexal disorders (endometriosis, uterine myoma, ovarian cysts, adenomyosis, etc.); endoscopy in obstetrics, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary stress incontinence; robot-assisted surgery in gynecology.
Attended around 35 international conferences, many of them as a speaker.
